Teaching Cultural Competency

Jack Lewis, a doctoral student at the University of Pennsylvania and CSWE Scholar, is conducting a study on the methods used by social work programs to teach students how to provide culturally competent social work practice. He would like to conduct brief interviews with deans or program directors at master's of social work programs about this issue. The end result of this project will be a resource for social work programs connecting cultural competency with the 2008 Educational Policy and Accreditation Standards.

If you are willing to assist with this project, please contact Jack Lewis or the CSWE Institutional Research office.  For more information about the study, you can consult the informed consent.
