World of Work

This is an MSW course in the World of Work subspecialization field of practice that focuses on the main systems of employment relations in the United States and explores the experience of diverse, vulnerable populations. The course covers three broad areas: 1) workforce development, inclusive workplaces, and community economic development; 2) the history, theory, politics, and functions of labor unions; and 3) public policy affecting the workplace and work requirements.
