This Track focuses on international topics and issues. It addresses educational methods, collaboration, exchanges, comparative studies, and curriculum innovations that contribute to an international perspective on social policies and social work practice. The Track focuses on the role of social work education in fostering international understanding and cooperation through examination of the effects of economic and social globalization, national and regional political transformation, and worldwide technological developments on vulnerable populations. Sessions promote active involvement with global problems such as internal and transnational migration; cultural issues; local and international armed conflict; economic and social consequences of war; at-risk children, women, and men; racism; and substance abuse.
