Program Membership

Program membership is required of all accredited social work programs and those in candidacy.

As of the February 2019 Commission on Accreditation meeting, there are

  • 523 accredited baccalaureate social work programs,

  • 269 accredited master's social work programs,

  • 19 baccalaureate social work programs in candidacy, and

  • 30 master's social work programs in candidacy.



Membership Benefits

The benefits of program membership are as follows:

Social work program membership dues are indexed on the size of the program as indicated by the number of graduates reported by the program in the past annual survey. Programs that did not report statistics on graduates will be required to pay the maximum amount for membership dues.

Categories and Dues

All accredited social work programs and those in candidacy for accreditation are required to pay annual membership dues to CSWE. Programs are invoiced each April for the following fiscal year, which begins July 1. Payment is due by July 1.
