Violence Against Women and Children Manuscript Award

The annual CORSW Violence Against Women and Children (VAWC) Manuscript Award is awarded to the author(s) of the manuscript that most advances feminist knowledge in the field of violence against women and children. The purpose of this award is to recognize outstanding scholarship of early career scholars working in the area of violence against women and children in social work education. For the purpose of this award, an early career scholar is defined as a doctoral student or an academic professional with no more than seven years since earning their highest degree (either an MSW, DSW, or PhD).

A complete online submission for this award includes the following attachment:
  • A blinded copy of the manuscript with all identifying information removed. Submit the manuscript as a Word document.

If Selected as an Award Winner:

  • At least one (1) and up to (2) authors must agree to present the manuscript (as an oral paper presentation) at CSWE's Annual Conference.
  • At least one author must attend the award presentation which will take place at the Feminist Networking Breakfast.   
*Proposal Submission (via Cadmium) is not required to be eligible for this award. CSWE will coordinate with award winner to include their paper presentation in the final program book.
