Constance Adams, MSW, LCSW
Accreditation Training Manager
Connie Adams, MSW, LCSW, is passionate about social work and shaping the future of the profession. As Accreditation Training Manager for the Council on Social Work Education (CSWE), Connie finds great joy in supporting and growing with the accreditation team. Connie’s primary role allows her love of curriculum development, training, and capacity building to intersect with her expertise of the Educational Policy and Accredited Standards (EPAS) and accreditation processes. In collaboration, she oversees the vision, development, implementation, and evaluation of CSWE accreditation training and educational materials to: 1) increase knowledge of the EPAS; 2) make accreditation processes feel manageable for new applicant, pre-candidate, candidate, and accredited programs; and 3) improve overall program success through accreditation processes.Connie earned her Master of Social Work (MSW) from Washington University in St. Louis and Bachelor of Social Work from Saint Mary’s College. Prior to working within CSWE, Connie provided leadership and project management in higher education as well as national and local nonprofit agencies. She dedicated nearly 15 years to the prevention of and response to power-based personal violence, including as the inaugural director of the Belles Against Violence Office at Saint Mary’s College in Notre Dame, Indiana. Most recently, Connie served as a Senior Trainer and Lead Project Manager at Alteristic, Inc., a national prevention organization where her clientele included: colleges and universities, nonprofit agencies, state and local governments, coalitions, corporations, trade industries, and federal government agencies.
Beyond her professional work, Connie enjoys thrifting and antiquing for unique treasures (it’s the rush of the find!). You can also find her crafting during every holiday season, attempting a new gluten-free recipe, or seeking out the best cup of local java.
