Eddie Wong is the IT director at the Council on Social Work Education (CSWE), a nonprofit association based in Alexandria, VA, that accredits baccalaureate and master’s level social work programs in the United States. He is responsible for the management, strategic planning, IT policies, project management services, web development practices, and telephony application. He ensures that strategic initiatives to transform the technology department are flexible, adaptable, and responsive to customer needs.Before joining CSWE, Mr. Wong worked for four years as Oracle Developer-Analyst for a global animal pharmaceutical company. He was responsible for data modeling, database design and development in SQL, PL/SQL programming, performance tuning, testing, and modifications/enhancements of existing applications in Oracle. He holds an MBA in production management from University of Wisconsin and a BA in mathematics from York University. He has also received recognition, including certified PMP, CSM, MCSA, MCDBA, and OCP DBA.
