Lauren Goldberger, MSW, LMSW
Accreditation Specialist
Lauren Goldberger, MSW, LMSW, is an Accreditation Specialist at the Council on Social Work Education (CSWE). In this capacity, she offers vital support to accredited social work programs, those in candidacy, and the wider community by providing education, resources, and consultation. She also serves as a staff liaison to the Board of Accreditation (BOA). Lauren is passionate about increasing equitable access to the social work profession and enjoys pursuing this shared mission with like-minded stakeholders.
Prior to joining CSWE, Lauren worked within medical social work and higher education. As a Pediatric Hematology & Oncology Social Worker and Program Manager, Lauren served active patients, their loved ones, and survivors of pediatric cancer across the life course. Concurrently, she partnered with the Amey Cancer Survivorship Program, in Baltimore, MD, to develop protocol that supported the psychosocial needs of this population. Most recently, Lauren provided regulatory compliance, licensure, and field education support to online social work, marriage and family therapy, and professional counseling degree programs partnered with 2U/EdX. Lauren also served on the company’s Global Operations DEI Council, harnessing data to advance employee-led DEI initiatives within the organization.
Lauren holds a Master of Social Work (MSW) from Boston College and a Bachelor of Arts (BA) in Theatre and Public Health from Muhlenberg College. Originally from the DC metro area, Lauren currently resides with her partner in Charleston, SC.
