The Violence Against Women and Their Children Track serves as the focal point for the exchange of knowledge about the relationship of social work education to the fields of domestic and sexual violence, which includes adults and adolescents in heterosexual, same sex, married or dating relationships. This Track addresses policy and practice issues, research, theory development, university–agency–community collaboration, and effective teaching about issues affecting survivors of abuse, perpetrators, and children exposed to battering behavior. Such attention to these issues can be U.S.-focused or globally focused, taking cultural diversity into consideration.
