The Council on Social Work Education (CSWE) recognizes that navigating these uncertain times is challenging for everyone in our community. We remind ourselves and emphasize to those around us the importance of continuing forward with the purpose of social work education: Preparing a well-educated profession to serve and promote the health and well-being of ALL people from ALL communities. As social work educators, scholars, scientists, and leaders, we remain steadfast in our 100-year-old commitment to protecting individuals, families, and communities. We continue to champion the fundamentals of social work education, including recognizing the strengths found in our differences; ensuring access, opportunity, and advancement for all; and fostering environments in which individuals and groups are engaged, respected, valued, and supported. At this time, we are monitoring policy changes, advocating for our community and those we serve, and will keep you updated along the way.
