The theme of Social Work Month this year is “Social Workers Are Essential.” We invite you to send in your thoughts – as an essay, photos, cartoons, or any medium – on what “essential” means to you. It can refer to social work during the COVID-19 pandemic or efforts to recognize, raise awareness, and dismantle racism throughout 2020. Content could also reflect on the essential nature of social work in previous years and eras.
CSWE will collect, publish, and share this content with our members and on social media throughout March as we celebrate social work and social work education, reflect on the necessity of social work, and look to advance the profession in 2021 and beyond. Please send your content to [email protected] by Monday, February 15 to be considered for this project.
Logos for Social Work Month projects or to share on social media can be found on the National Association of Social Workers website at Social Work Month.
