Annual Survey of Social Work Programs

2024-2025 Annual Survey

The Council on Social Work Education (CSWE) Division of Education is pleased to announce the deployment of the 2024 – 2025 Annual Survey of Social Work Programs on Thursday, March 6, 2025.  

The Annual Survey of Social Work Programs collects information about social work programs, students, graduates, and faculty members. The data collected through this survey shapes the future of social work education through research, program planning, and advocacy efforts across the field and beyond.

Submitted data should be based on the 2024–2025 academic year, except for graduation data, which should be based on students who graduated between July 1, 2023, and June 30, 2024.

The 2024-2025 Annual Survey will be sent to the primary contacts of all CSWE-accredited programs and contacts for practice doctorate and research doctorate programs on March 6, 2025. If your program needs to update its primary program contacts, please complete the Program Record Update form to ensure accurate information in our database.

The 2024-2025 Annual Survey of Social Work Programs will remain open until June 30, 2025.
Please have your surveys completed by June 30, 2025.

CSWE Annual Program Survey Data Request Form

In order to accommodate the growing number of data requests, CSWE research staff has developed a data request form for you to request access to CSWE Annual Program Survey data.

Please use this form to request:
  • Previous Annual Survey responses from your program
  • Faculty data requests
  • Student data requests
  • Program data requests
  • Other data
Member programs should use this form to request copies of their previous annual survey responses.

CSWE will work to fulfill all data requests in a timely manner, please do not reach out to check on the status of a data request. If CSWE is able to fulfill your data request, you will receive the requested data in an email from research@cswe.org. If CSWE is unable to fulfill a data request, you will receive an email stating we were not able to fulfill the request. Please note that all data request decisions at this time are final.

Update on 2023–2024 Annual Survey

The publication of the 2024-2024 Annual Survey is currently in production. Our staff is working to analyze the 2023-2024 Annual Survey Data and publish the 2023-24 Annual Survey Report. If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact us at research@cswe.org.
