Screening, brief intervention, and referral to treatment (SBIRT) is a research-based approach for identifying at-risk alcohol and substance use. The social work profession is uniquely positioned to implement this approach, and it is important that it is taught in the classroom. This webinar will examine how SBIRT applies to the 2015 CSWE Educational Policy and Accreditation Standards (EPAS) competencies and will discuss how SBIRT can be integrated into the classroom.
