Plan Your APM CE Agenda!

Get ready for APM by visiting the 2024 CSWE APM Event Microsite! There, you will find detailed program information that will help you plan your agenda. You can filter by CE eligible sessions by going to schedule -> CE elgible sessions. All the data you save on the microsite will be available at your fingertips within the conference app, as well. Continuing Education at APM

CSWE will offer continuing education credits (CEs) for selected preconference and post-conference events and for panels and workshops during the 2024 Annual Program Meeting (APM). The sessions are appropriate for generalist or clinical social work practice, and the degree of difficulty is intermediate. The target audience is social work educators, field directors, and field instructors.
 
CEs are not included in the basic APM registration package, but you can add CEs to a new or existing APM registration for an additional fee.             

  • 3 for $75 ($25.00/credit)

  • 6 for $140 ($23.33/credit)  

  • 9 for $200 ($22.22/credit)  

  • 12 for $250 ($20.83/credit)  

Participants can earn up to 12 CEs from the conference. Please note that the total number of CEs may change. Check this page for weekly updates.


How to Claim CEs at APM

All CEUs will be processed through the CE portal. Please follow the instructions below. Email [email protected] with questions or comments. Instructions to Obtain CEU Certificate. You can also view the instructions by clicking here.

Step 1: Locate the CEU-eligible session you attend via the “complete CE Evaluation” section listed under tasks.

Step 2: Complete the CE evaluation for each session you attended
  • Session evaluations will unlock 10 minutes prior to the end of the education session.
  • To unlock the session evaluation, you will need to enter the CE unlock code provided by the presenter at the end of the session. If you do not stay until the end of the session to receive the code, you will not be able to claim credits for that session.
  • Each session has its own individual evaluation. In order to claim credits for a session, you must complete the full evaluation.
Step 3: Once all session evaluations have been completed, click submit to complete task at the top of the ‘complete CE evaluation’ page
  • When you go back to the surveymagnet home screen, there should be a green check next to the ‘complete CE evaluation task’ to show it was submitted correctly
Step 4: Complete the ‘Complete Overall Conference Evaluation’ task
 
Step 5: Once all session evaluations and the conference evaluation have been completed, you will be able to download/email/print the certificate. Your will be able to access and download your certificate through the website for up to one year after the conclusion of APM 2024.


Important Information about Continuing Education at APM

  • You can only claim CEs if you have purchased a CE package
  • You can only claim CEs based on the CE package you bought. i.e. if you bought a 3 CE package, you can only claim 3 CEs.
  • The CE Evaluation unlock code will be provided by the presenter at the end of the session. If you do not stay until the end of the session, you will not be able to obtain the CE code to unlock the evaluation
  • CSWE staff is unable to provide evaluation unlock codes to attendees
  • Evaluations must be completed by the end of the day on the day you attended the session.


ASWB ACE Approval

The Council on Social Work Education (ACE Approval #1163) s approved as an ACE provider to offer social work continuing education by the Association of Social Work Boards (ASWB) Approved Continuing Education (ACE) program. Regulatory boards are the final authority on courses accepted for continuing education credit.  ACE provider approval period: 1/23/2024–1/23/2027. Social workers participating in this conference will receive up to 12 continuing education credits.

Even when a social work board accepts courses offering ASWB ACE credit, licensees are responsible for determining whether courses meet the CE requirements in their jurisdictions. States and provincial regulatory boards have the final authority to determine whether any individual course may be accepted for credit.

  • New York does not accept ASWB ACE provider or course/conference approval.
  • West Virginia accepts ACE providers and courses for programs offered outside the state or through distance learning.
 

Grievances

Please follow these procedures to submit a complaint or grievance regarding any matter related to CSWE's continuing education program:

Complaints or grievances must be submitted either in writing to CSWE via mail at 333 John Carlyle Street, Suite 400, Alexandria, VA 22314, or via email to [email protected]. Complaints will be reviewed by the CE program manager and responded to in writing within 30 days of receipt of the written complaint. Individuals who submit a complaint/grievance may request to have a phone hearing with the CE program manager if they disagree with CSWE's written response.

A record of all written complaints/grievances and CSWE's written responses is kept on file and reported to the ASWB's ACE program. Summary information is shared with the CSWE conference staff to improve future events and services.
